Aleec Martinez
My name is Aleec Martinez, and I am currently in my second year at Ventura College, pursuing studies in both welding and psychology. This fall, I plan to transfer to California State University Channel Islands (CSUCI) to continue my education and expand my knowledge in this fields. One of my greatest passion is helping student with basic needs and connecting them to campus resources. I love being involved on campus, building a sense of community, and making sure students know about the opportunities available to them. Creating connections with students and seeing them succeed is something that truly motivates me.
Dulce Contreras
Hello my name is Dulce Contreras and this is my first year attending Ventura College. I’m currently majoring in psychology hoping to eventually transfer to a 4 year and get my Masters as well. I’m an athlete here at VC playing for the Women’s Tennis team. I enjoy helping others and making people feel heard, understood, and overall making people feel good about themselves.

Hello, my name is Gerard Bolden and I am currently attending Ventura College and this is my second year here. I already have my A.A. degree in computer science, I am also a student-athlete and part of the Men’s Ventura College Basketball team.

Hi, my name is Jeremiah and I am a freshman here at Ventura College. I’m currently majoring in kinesiology, and I’m on the Basketball team. I enjoy volunteering in the community by inspiring and helping young kids find the joy in play basketball. As a first-year student, I can say my experience has been pretty good, thanks to the resource I have found at Ventura College.
Samhir Fuentes
My name is Samhir Fuentes, and I am a first-generation college student pursuing a degree in Mechatronics Engineering at Ventura Community College. From an early age, I have been driven by creativity and a passion for problem-solving, especially in the fields of electricity and mechanics. Inspired by engineers, I decided to pursue an engineering degree with the goal of contributing to cleaner energy solutions. I am eager to make a positive impact in the world through engineering and beyond.
